FAQ

How do I care for water-resistant upholstery?

Most messes can be wiped down by using a clean, dry towel. Don’t use abrasive cloths and cleaners where that may create surface damage. For regular cleaning and maintenance, use a water-based solvent, rubbing alcohol, or a non-abrasive cleaner. For stubborn spots, or to disinfect, use a bleach solution.

What material do you use to make boat storage covers?

We use a high-quality fabric called Aqualon Edge. Aqualon Edge reduces heat gain caused by the sun’s UV rays. This results in keeping the surfaces and boat interior temperatures cool. Aqualon edge is a tough and flexible material. It resists water, cracking, fading, mildew, and rot while being easy to clean.

What are the types of materials you use?

We use a variety of different materials such as vinyls, leathers, cloths, Aqualon, Top Gun, Docril, and Sunbrella.

How long does it take to do upholstery work?

For smaller upholstery jobs, the turnaround time is anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks. For bigger upholstery jobs the turnaround time is on average, 4-8 weeks. We do our best to have a quick turnaround time for you to enjoy your new upholstered project.

How often should my upholstered unit be cleaned?

For marine interior upholstery jobs, we recommend cleaning after every trip. For auto interior upholstery jobs, we recommend cleaning them from 1-2 weeks.

What cleaners do you recommend to use?

We recommend using Malco Upholstery Cleaner or Malco Leather and Plastic Cleaner
